Lidia Beiza

 

 

Lidia Beiza is an artist who lives and works in Spain, having previously resided in Sitges and Barcelona. She is a biologist and MD, having studied drawing, painting, and engraving in various studios in Madrid, under the guidance of notable teachers like Alfredo Piquer Garzon, Jose Ricon, Graciela Buratti, and Teresa Muñiz. From 1971 to 1980, Lidia led her own engraving workshop. She belongs to the group of artists known as 'Taller7'.

Lidia Beiza's solo exhibitions include shows at the Matadero de Madrid in 2015, Galería Trueno in Colmenar, Madrid in 2012, Universidad Nacional General Sarmiento in Buenos Aires in 2012, Sala Joan Miró, Ayuntamiento de Móstoles in 2007, Sala del Ayuntamiento de Hoyo de Manzanares in 2006, Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2005, and Centro Cultural Nicolás Salmerón in Madrid in 2005.

Her works have also been featured in several collective exhibits, including the Encuentro de poesía in Segovia in 2016, Exposition SEMES in 2016 at the Ateneo de Madrid, Homage to Gloria Fuertes in 2014 at Foro de Pozuelo in Madrid, Taller de Puertas abiertas in 2015 and 2014 at Taller 7, Galería Rina Bouwen in 2012 and 2010 in Madrid, Arte Expo Buenos Aires in 2006, Galería de las Naciones in Argentina, and La Mujer en el Arte, Salón Internacional at Galería de las Naciones in Buenos Aires in 2005.
