Crafting a New Visual Language for Mansion on Turtle Creek
When the celebrated designer Thomas Pheasant took the creative helm for the redesign of Mansion on Turtle Creek, a signature Rosewood Hotel in Dallas, he invited The Picturalist to help elevate the visual narrative of the suites and penthouses. It became an opportunity to bring together Luxury Art Procurement with thoughtful curation, transforming existing works by our licensed artist Evelyn Ogly into a refined collection of bespoke wall art solutions tailored to the property’s serene, residential aesthetic.
Working closely with Pheasant’s studio, we re-imagined Ogly’s original pieces to create exclusive art prints that feel quiet, architectural, and beautifully integrated into the hotel’s palette. The goal was simple: deliver designer-grade wall decor that enriches the guest experience while supporting the hotel’s identity as one of Dallas’ most elegant retreats.
For this project, The Picturalist provided:
-
Tailored art solutions for luxury hospitality
-
Framed art for hospitality using The Picturalist Custom Framing
-
Commercial art prints engineered for longevity and clarity
-
Curated art for hotels that aligns with Thomas Pheasant’s timeless aesthetic
-
Art for commercial spaces with a strong sense of place and calm
The result is a suite of pieces that blend craftsmanship and contemporary restraint, offering Mansion on Turtle Creek a cohesive collection designed specifically for its interiors. It’s a quiet transformation that shows how thoughtful artwork for interior design projects can reshape the experience of a space.

A Collaboration Rooted in Precision and Design Integrity
Once the concept direction for Mansion on Turtle Creek was established, the collaboration moved into a more tactile, hands-on phase. This is where The Picturalist’s bespoke wall art solutions truly came into play. Every artwork by Evelyn Ogly—reinterpretations of her original language of texture, memory, and abstraction—needed to sit quietly within the refined palette defined by Thomas Pheasant’s team.
The process began with colour-corrected proofs, printed to scale and shipped to the design studio in Washington, D.C. Each proof was evaluated against color references, fabric selections, and millwork tones to ensure perfect cohesion. Subtle shifts in taupe, ash, violet, moss, or cotton-white were tested, noted, revised, and re-tested until each piece felt fully integrated with the interiors.
