The automobile photographed appears to be a Porsche 911 Carrera from the G-Series, most likely a Carrera 3.2 from the 1980s.
The G-Series became the longest-running generation of the original air-cooled 911, recognizable by its impact bumpers while retaining the essential proportions that had defined the Porsche 911 from the beginning. The naturally aspirated Carrera 3.2 arrived for the 1984 model year and became one of the defining final evolutions of the classic G-Series.
In Meunier's photograph, none of that technical history is announced.
There is simply the Carrera script, the road ahead and a driver who appears to have nowhere more important to be.
