In this country house, salvaged pine boards—left raw to reveal every knot, nick and sun-washed stain—provide an earthy backdrop for crisp white-painted furniture. Turning to nature herself, framed prints of John James Audubon’s birds—Snowy Egret, Great Blue Heron, White Pelican—supply colour, movement and narrative.
