FLOATED PRINTS INSIDE A SHADOWBOX
A shadowbox adds a gallery character to your pictures. We place our images in deep frame with plenty of space between the paper and the glass.
Floating a print means that it will sit on top of the matting, as opposed to being partially overlapped by the mat. It creates the illusion that the print is floating on its own above the mat and inside the frame.
We use premium papers featuring optional hand torn edges using 100% cotton archival rag paper and UV proof archival inks, tested to be fade-proof for 80 years.
We use french cleats for easy hanging that always stay straight.
All our shadowboxes feature unbreakable lightweight acrylic glass. Our acrylic glass is more expensive than standard glass, and we recommend it because it’s clearer, far more impact resistant, and protects your art and matting against 98% of UV rays. Framing-grade acrylic has become the new standard in framing.
At The Picturalist, we check each artwork before it leaves the premises. All our packages are sent in specially designed boxes to guarantee picture perfect deliveries.
