ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In 2020, as the world addressed the rise of the pandemic, the turning point of events knocked over our reality and with it, our perception of time and space. Arising from an intimate emotional experience in the face of a global incident, Paula del Rivero s "FINE" series revolves around the physical and temporary limitations we all confronted during the first strict confinement. As the situation evolves, these constraints keep fluctuating, and as such, this new series in progress seeks to explore the fluid margins of time and space, emerging as the artist s visual research in response to universal questions concerning our relationship to the notions of finite vs infinite.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Paula del Rivero grew up in a family of art enthusiasts and nonprofessional artists who instilled her with their passion for contemporary art. From a young age, she got to know the work of the leading exponents of abstract expressionism and geometric abstraction.
After obtaining a degree in Translation, her thirst for knowledge and her inclination to gather a variety of experiences led her to live in Ireland, Amsterdam, and New York. She pursued her studies and worked in diverse industries, such as programming and graphic design.
Whilst looking for her true vocation, she discovered printmaking, studying under Spanish printmaker and sculptor Mar Prat, becoming her studio assistant.
Her artistically inclined upbringing encouraged Paula to finally choose a career in the Arts, growing into a self-taught fine artist focusing on a variety of media.
Her works range from printmaking and watercolors, to textile and back-lit wall sculptures, which she has exhibited at the Spanish Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the Spanish Museum of Contemporary Printmaking.
SIZE DESCRIPTIONS
Our unframed prints come with a 1 inch white paper border, allowing you to choose how to trim and frame the piece according to your preferences. We offer a range of sizes to suit any space, from small to exhibition sizes.
Our small, medium, and large prints have an outside (including frame) dimension of 12 x 18 inches, 16 x 24 inches, and 24 x 36 inches, respectively.
These prints come in 3 framing presentations:
-Without mat and without border also called full bleed
-With a thick mat (4 ply)
-With a 2 inch white border all around (the image is printed leaving a white border all around)
Our XL, XXL, and XXXL prints have an outside dimension of:
XL: 32 x 48 inches
XXL: 36 x 54 inches
XXXL: 40 x 60 inches
These size framed prints are presented in our premium Shadow Boxes, offering a stunning display. You have the choice to request a deckled edge or a straight edge (as shown in the descriptive images).
